A free city tour with 2 guests from the USA

City tour on 26/07/2018 with Saigon Free Day Tours
Guest: John Cass and his friend from the US.
Guide: Ho Tan
I took my guest at 337/21 Nguyen Trai. It was the first time I had taken guests at a homestay hostel . The problem is it was located at a small alley. Luckily, I got there very early and took my guests on time.

I was very surprised because John’s friend was very similar to oversea Vietnameses . But that was wrong. He came from Philippines. And during of your he like to take photos and heis also friendly same John.
I started at Ben Thanh market. They weren’t very excited about the market. Perhaps, they are hungry. But, John was very friendly when he talked to sellers. They asked me how long we would go around here? Was there any coffee store near here for them to buy coffee and have breakfast. So, this tour lasted quite long- over 4 hours.

After that, we continued to go to Nguyen Hue walking street – the Opera House – the Notre Dame Basilica-the Central Post Office. John was very humorous and excited about the Vietnam War. This was the reason why he was not interested which this and the other reason is they usually feel thirsty. So, we bought and drank lots of water.

Before they gave me some photos on their phone about Notre Dame Basilica and Vietnam War. So, I focused on saying this one. In spite of my bad health . I’m the guide of this tour, I tried to guide clearly and hope that they would have lots of interesting stories.

The last destination was the War Remnant Museum. I got some problems when I guide here cause John was very excited about the military vehicles. He knew lots of information about them. But I also tried to tell my story to them. I think that it was the place where they wanted to go best on that tour.

My experience:
Preparation is always necessary.
Take care of your health to help you become more and more confident
