Ao Dai Festival 2019 in Ho Chi Minh city

The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2019 themed ‘HCM City’s Charming Ao Dai” opened in Nguyen Hue walking street in Ho Chi Minh City on March 2.

The festival was popularized through the interactive activities: Charming Ao Dai Competition, Online Pictures of Ao Dai, Parade Programs with a message “I love Vietnamese Ao Dai”. A thousand images of  Ao Dai show the pride, patriotism of Vietnamese people. The festival are happening until 17/3/2019 in Bui VIen walking street, Saigon central Post Office, War Museum, Ao Dai Museum,…with over 15 programs about Ao Dai theme. In addition, latest collections of Ao dai designs by 26 local and foreign designers and tailors and fabric shops are displayed.

More than 3000 people in traditional ao dai gathered in Nguyen Hue street, Ho Chi Minh city attend the vibrant 2019 Ao dai Festival

Ao Dai Festival aims to honor the culture of traditional Vietnamese dresses during different periods of time and introduce the beauty of Ao Dai to foreign visitors; preserving and developing the unique quintessence of the Vietnamese culture.The local authorities also encourages state women workers of people’s committees of districts, state offices, schools and universities throughout the city to wear Ao dai during March.

After 5 years, Ao Dai Festival has become annual event in Ho Chi Minh city. That will conserve and improve traditional Vietnamese culture and broadcast tourism of Ho Chi Minh become a “Attractive-Friendly-Safety” destination.
