Who we are?

1. History began
Saigon Free Day Tours (SFDTs) is a non-profit organization established in 2017 by a group of students who wanted to improve their English skills.
So far, SFDTs has acted as a tourism ambassador to promote the image of Ho Chi Minh city, a.k.a Sai Gon, the business and financial hub of Vietnam, with a prominent history going back hundreds of years and maintain an environment to help students practice and improve their English skills.

2. Development process and achievements
Over 2 years of development, SFDTs,  from a small group of students has grown strongly with such following proud achievements:
Hundreds of tours completed annually with visitors from over 50 different countries and territories.
3 main types of tours with a wide range of aspects: Culture, history, cuisine, ....
Dozens of new members recruited on a yearly basis.
Side activities organized regularly.

3. Organization structure
Sponsors: Asia Group Tour Company and Vietnam Package Travel Company sponsor the entire cost of club’s  activities, professional support, and website system maintenance, 

 

                                           


Club management: Managing, operating and maintaining club activities.
Communication board: Making effort in bringing a closer image of the club to visitors as well as our members.
Event Organizing Committee: Organizing annual activities of SFDTs
Last but certainly not least, it is almost 100 members of ours, who are always playing the role of small ambassadors to promote and introduce Saigon's image to international friends.

4. Main activities
- Provide free tours for foreign guests. These following are types of major tours provided
Culture: Ben thanh Market, Nguyen Hue walking street, Nortre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, Opera House, Thien Hau temple, Cha Tam church, GuanYu temple 
History : Independence Palace, War Remnant Museum
Cuisine: Saigon Street food
- Create an English learning and practicing  playground for members through tour activities, trainings, member meetings, etc.

5. Member recruitment
Member recruitment rounds are held twice a year to  to meet the increasing requirement and number of tours
Subjects of recruitment: Mainly students living in Ho Chi Minh city
Requirements: Enthusiasm, desire to cultivate skills, flexible time, ...
